St. Alphonsus - Nampa
Imago
St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Nampa, ID
2012
Commissioned through SARMC and Jacque Crist
This work graces the lobby wall of the Urgent Care Center offering a soothing and contemplative opportunity for visitors. The artwork aims to create small reflections of itself evoking any number of natural phenomenon such as butterflies, birds or water. The adult butterfly is referred to as an Imago; the connotation is that it is an image of itself. This idea has a deep correlation to our bodies and our health. The ideal image of our self being one of health and wellness even under not-so-ideal circumstances.
